The Career Guidance Cell, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung organised a State Level Workshop on 15-10-24. The workshop focussed on Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under National Livestock Mission (NLM), sponsored by Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi.
The chairperson of the workshop Dr Nemjemyanger, VAS welcomed the attendees and encouraged the participants to keep an open mind towards entrepreneurship and to take advantage of the EDP.
Dr Aoyimsen Jamir, as alumnus of the College and the secondary Nodal Officer of the EDP provided a broad highlight on the importance of organising livestock as a formal sector of economy. He provided insights on the aims and objectives of this flagship programme and encouraged the participants to avail the training facilities, financial assistance as well as the mentoring provided by the programme.
Dr Suiding Hinglak, Technical Nodal Officer of the EDP gave detail guidance on the types and resources that the programme offers. A step- by- step guide on the application, eligibility as well as the selection process of the assistance were explained. The success stories of the EDP were made through an audio- visual presentation.
The presentations were followed by a Q& A session, after which the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Nungshitemjen, Asst. Professor, Sociology Department, FAC.
